Environmental Policy

Hyndland Street Veterinary Surgery, part of the VetPartners family, is a small animal veterinary practice servicing the west end of Glasgow. At Hyndland Street Veterinary Surgery we acknowledge that our operations influence the environment and have identified key factors that contribute to our environmental and carbon footprint:

  • Consumption of electricity, gas, water and other fuels
  • Use of anaesthetic gases
  • Waste generation
  • Use of raw materials
  • Procured goods and services with their own environmental impact

Hyndland Street Veterinary Surgery aims to grow and develop the business in an efficient and sustainable way sympathetic to both the environment and to local communities. Our environmental commitment can be demonstrated in our established objectives and goals below:

  • Meet or exceed all applicable standards, laws, requirements and regulations.
  • Monitoring our key resource usage and implementing conservation techniques to achieve our environmental targets.
  • Implement an effective waste management policy.
  • Working with manufacturers and suppliers to reduce scope 2 and 3 emissions.
  • Work to reduce the business’s carbon footprint.
  • Regular reflection and refinement of environmental, sustainability and corporate social responsibility positions.

We will continue to improve our environmental management system by considering any changes in legislation, our organisation, and other factors. We will convey this policy to all our team members, ensuring that they are provided with training to increase awareness of environmental matters.
